ON HEALTH… W/ JILLIAN
Hey, y’all —
Today’s episodes features one of my college pals that I wasn’t actually friends with then but have grown to be quite fond of since then.
Some fun things you might want to know about Jillian are that:
She was on slime time when I was in elementary school. They filmed an episode at her ballet school where she was one of the dancers chosen to be on the episode. Spoiler alert: the slime was applesauce!
Her favorite medical procedure to perform is toe nail removals
She’s obsessed with The Office (U.S.), and has watched it all the way through at least 10 times. She firmly believes that there is an Office quote applicable to all life situations (and I would agree).
In PART ONE we’ll talk about:
Alaska
Perfectionism
Asking for help
Struggling in struggle-free environments
Breaking up with church
In PART TWO we’ll discuss:
what we think health looks like
origins of fatphobia
orthorexia (this was a new word to me!)
doctors on Instagram
I’ve noted some resources and list of things we talk about on this episode at the very *bottom* of this post, under “References.” You’re welcome.
In case you’d like to keep the conversation going with Jillian, you can follow her on Instagram.
See ya on the pod,
Kaia
PS - In case it wasn’t obvious, you CAN and SHOULD still be on Warmly. You can always submit your own story, or submit a topic that you’d like to hear discussed on Warmly.
