ON DECONSTRUCTING EVERYTHING YOU ONCE KNEW W/ KRISTIN [PTS. 1&2]
Hey, y’all —
On today’s episode of Warmly I have the pleasure of introducing you to my sort-of college friend, Kristin. You can also call her Kris.
The only reason why I say “sort-of” college friend is because my friendship with Kristin that seems to have only actually come into itself since our undergrad studies, made possible by the world of social media.
Kristin & I have a bit of overlap in our stories, but you may want to know a little more about her:
In 2018, Kristin donated her eggs (anonymously) and learned within the past year that the family conceived TWIN GIRLS! Kristin was able to meet the whole family, and says it was an incredible experience.
Like me, Kristin did a boudoir shoot and claims it was one of the most freeing things she’s ever done. Kristin says that she learned a lot about herself in the process and would recommend the experience to anyone. [In case you missed it, I did a whole episode on my personal experience, and you can tune in here.]
Kristin and her girlfriend Tayleigh are in the process of building a duplex in Richmond City!
Kristin wanted to focus our conversation on the deconstruction of faith & religion, marriage & divorce, as well as sexuality.
Kristin and I had a lot to say so I broke up our dialogue into two episodes, and I’ve detailed our conversation topics to match each episode below. Each has a bit of opening dialogue so you can listen independently if you’d like. But honestly? I’d listen to both. In order. Just sayin’.
EPISODE 19 (Part One)
Topics include:
What vulnerability means to much to Kristin
Disagreeing with family about politics and religion
What Kristin’s college experience was like at the time, and how she’s come to see it now
What Kristin thinks most people misunderstand about her
EPISODE 20 (Part Two)
Topics include:
The experiences that lead Kristin to leave her marriage
The process of deconstructing what you were taught about faith, marriage & divorce, and sexuality as an adult
In case you’d like to keep the conversation going with Kristin aka Kris, you can follow along on Instagram.
In case you haven’t already, you can leave an honest review of Warmly on Apple Podcasts., and make sure you’re subscribed to Lately, the Warmly blog so you know what’s going on.
