ON CHOSEN FAMILY W/ KAIA

Episode Slide (14).png

Kacey Musgraves has a song called “Family is Family” that says this:

Family is family, in church or in prison

You get what you get, and you don't get to pick 'em

But I tend to disagree. So does Stitch from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch.

Some of us choose family by force or circumstance because we live very physically far away from our literal family. While distance doesn’t remove or discredit your familial relationships, it’s helpful to have a handful of people who count you as family, wherever you are.

A couple of weeks ago, I activated my Disney+ account for the first time and decided to watch that flick because, well, you’ll hear why when you tune in. Watching films as an adult that you saw for the first time as a kid leaves you with a whole host of impressions you couldn’t have anticipated before.

Once it’s all said & done, you’re welcome to leave an honest review of Warmly on Apple Podcasts.

Can’t wait to hear from ya!
